Another terrific year of Rising Stars Camp is complete. However, it would not be possible without all the great people involved. Special thanks to former players Sam Charette (Endicott College Women's Basketball), Haley Willis (Trinity College Women's Basketball), Sue Rose (Mt. Holyoke College), and Catherine Ecker (Dickinson College) for all they continue to give to our program. They do a terrific job with our Rising Stars and we are fotunate to have them involved. Thanks to my brother Rich for all he does for Rising Stars Camp and Hamilton-Wenham basketball. Also, thanks to all of our players that volunteered their time time this summer to help make this a memorable experience for our campers. Additionally, I would like to thank the parents for supporting our program and sending their daughter to Rising Stars Camp. We have a lot of fun working with the players and always make sure they receive the individual attention they deserve. Plus, Rising Stars Camp is the only chance I get to play an old school game of "horse" (see right).
Please do not forget to sign up for our fall camp by next Friday July 31st to receive our special offer of $50 off. That means you only have to pay $150 for camp that would normally cost $200. In addition, a one day rate would be $75, which means you would pay that in just two weeks. Instead, you are getting six weeks of basketball for just $150.

The FUNdamentals stations at camp included a numbers of new skills coupled with a test of skills players learned at camp during the week. I hope you enjoy the blog.
In the video below, Rich DeMarco is working with Sophie Strozier on her shooting technique. We are fortunate to have a number of players and coaches assisting so our Rising Stars get one on one attention that helps them to become a better player.
All of our players had a chance to work with Cecily on their layups today at camp. They benefited greatly as they learned from someone who attended Rising Stars Camp one year ago.

Marley has attended Rising Stars camp for the last three years, including our fall camp. We have seen tremendous improvement in Marley as a player over the last three years. Her shooting form has improved greatly, along with a number of other offensive and defensive skills. She competes against older players during camp and holds her own. Marley also is near the top of every competition. In addition, she has a great attitude, always listens, and works very hard to get better. Congrats Marley.
