The videos below will show you a number of different skills that we worked on in camp, including dribbling, shooting, and defense. We also worked on triple threat position, passing, and basic footwork during layups.
In order to test the skills players learn at our camp they have an opportunity to compete in a number of games and competitions. Below, you will see "Queen of the Court," which we use to help players work on 1 on 1 defense and offense. We also had a knockout competition to work on shooting, following your shot, and layups.
Knockout Champion: Alexis Donovan
Additionally, we had a beat the pro competition. We use this drill to show players a way to shoot competitively when you are on your own. The only player at our camp to "Beat the Pro" was Marley Shea. She then went on to compete against one of our varsity players in a shooting competition.
Beat the Pro: Marley Shea
Finally, we award a camper of the day every week. The camper of the day is someone that is a hard worker, good listener, and overall good teammate. Kyleigh did a great job in all these areas at her first day of Rising Stars camp.
Camper of the Day: Kyleigh Murphy
No camp next week due to the holiday weekend, but we are back at it on Sunday October 18th. We look forward to seeing everyone!
