This is the 3rd year our 6th graders have been with us at Rising Stars Camp and they continue to improve each year. Sunday, we had them demonstrate our two-ball partner drill to the 4th grade group of players. The 4th graders are just learning how to dribble with two basketballs as you will see below. I wanted to show them this advanced drill to demonstrate how far our 6th grade players have come in just a few years. Also, so they can see the types of advanced drills they will be doing in the future. Check out our advanced jump stop station below.
Below are some of the videos we took of the players learning a number of different skills:
Jumpstop w/ a ball fake
Footwork and layups from leftside
Our camper of the day this week was Ally. Ally is in the 4th grade and has improved a lot in the first two weeks of our camp. Her team won in 2 on 2 and also did well in our team hot shot competition. Additionally, she is good listener and great teammate that wants to get better.
Team Hot Shot
Alexis and Capria won our Team Hot Shot Competition by scoring over 19 points in their final round.
I look forward to seeing everyone next week!
