Every time I watch our players execute a jump stop in the video to the left I am more amazed. I am looking forward to seeing their continued improvement over the next three weeks. Learning moves like this at a young age will benefit our Rising Stars as they move up through the ranks. It is much more difficult to learn new moves like this one as you get older. You will also see them working on advanced dribbling moves, and spin moves. Our 4th graders continue to progress as well. Form shooting, dribbling, and layups have improved greatly for these players (see below).

Mikan Competition (Layups)
Mia won our Mikan competition by making 13 layups (left and right) in 30 seconds. When we do this with our players in practice we have them start out by making 20 layups in 30 seconds. Mia's 13 is very impressive for a 6th grader.
Camper of the Day: Nora Gamber
Nora won the game of "21" with her group, but more importantly she has worked hard to get better each week. Her lefty layups and dribbling skills have improved the most in the last 3 weeks.
Hard work beats talent, when talent fails to work hard
